Optional focus
Towards a goal
Look at an obstacle and choose an action that feels possible now.
An everyday example
Finishing a course still matters. A plan to study for an hour each evening often does not fit actual tiredness and commitments, so starting is repeatedly delayed.
The personal thought in this example
I know what I want, but if I cannot do a whole hour there is no point starting.
A connected question
Is the goal still yours, and which part of the obstacle could a smaller attempt take into account?
From a question to a small attempt
What could be tried
If the goal remains chosen, a possible draft is: “During the next free break, I will look at one lesson up to a point that suits me.” A smaller alternative or no attempt today can also be chosen. The plan is adjusted to the time that exists.
What to check afterwards
First, is the plan acceptable? On return, not tried, partly tried and tried are recorded separately, together with the actual obstacle. Preparing a plan is not achieving the goal.
An important boundary
Changing the goal is allowed. Delay is not labelled a lack of motivation without understanding the circumstances, and even a small step is optional when conditions do not allow it.
