Optional focus
A partner’s infidelity
Clarify what you need now, without being told to stay or leave.
An everyday example
A partner has acknowledged breaking an agreement about fidelity. There are many questions, but no readiness for a final decision about the relationship.
The personal thought in this example
I have to decide right now whether to stay or leave.
A connected question
What do you need over the next few hours, before making a final decision?
From a question to a small attempt
What could be tried
The reported event, open questions and an immediate need can be separated. A small result might be a personal boundary: “I do not want to continue this conversation today.” A pause or choosing suitable human support is also possible. The boundary draft has not been sent to the partner.
What to check afterwards
Is it clearer what is needed now and what remains open? Feelings may still be difficult after a useful note. A final decision, contact or an external action cannot be inferred from clicking finish.
An important boundary
The focus does not blame the person who was hurt or choose staying, leaving or reconciliation. Actual safety and the circumstances of the relationship take priority over continuing an exercise.
