Optional focus
Before rest
Leave a thought in a short note or choose a gentle pause, without a promise of sleep.
An everyday example
Before resting, tomorrow’s tasks come to mind. Some can wait, but trying to solve all of them mentally prolongs the evening’s thinking.
The personal thought in this example
If I do not work this out now, I will forget something important tomorrow.
A connected question
What small detail would be enough to note for later, without solving the whole subject tonight?
From a question to a small attempt
What could be tried
One task or question can be noted, with a time to return to it only if that helps. Another option is a gentle pause using a comfortable anchor. Eyes can remain open, breathing can stay natural, and the attempt can end immediately.
What to check afterwards
Is the note practical, or did the pause fit? Success is not judged by whether sleep arrived straight away. Reading the note later is a separate, optional action.
An important boundary
This focus does not promise sleep or provide insomnia treatment. Tonight’s thought and a recurring sleep difficulty are different concerns; suitable additional support may still be needed.
